“Great place with lovely surroundings”

The hotel is situated in an old monastery and is a perfect place to stay. Room was large, well furnished and quiet (we slept well which was great after two weeks in Spain). “Nice quiet place”

We could only stay for one night, but the room was very comfortable and spacious, and also had a balcony with a table and chairs. The beds were excellent and it was everything very clean. It is a very quiet place, very good when you want to rest. The service in general was good, and also was the breakfast. More

“Not as good as to be expected”

The convent is beautifull and so is Vila Viçosa. The rooms are very good. The reception staff is very nice but the rest of the service is very poor. The restaurant is expensive and not good. You will find very good restaurants in the area but this is not. More

“What a Surprise! We'll be back!”

The Pousada settled in an old monastery was just the perfect stay and settled the mood for this Royal Portuguese retreat. Don't miss the warm welcome, simplicity and the excellent food of the "Taverna dos Conjurados" just next the pousada and near the "Paço Ducal" amazing square.
