We are ideally placed for anyone interested in an active lifestyle – you can use Hotel Alicia as your base for walking tours in the hills, golf at any of half a dozen fantastic golf courses, horse-riding – or just energetically lying on the beach. We are ideally positioned on the Costa del Sol for anywhere you might want to visit – westwards, Gibraltar is only 45 kilometres away; Ronda in the Sierra Nevada also only 45 km along a new road. To the east is Malaga with its airport, the Picasso museum and excellent rail and road links to Granada and Seville. From Algeciras (55 km) you can catch the fast ferry to Morocco for a wonderful day-trip to North Africa.
Perfect place to stop for a day a week a month or more. Lovely area, quiet but lots going on. Liz is amazing and very helpful as well as being unbelievable welcoming. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

Friendly & welcoming host & hostel owner Liz. Lovely to have a chat to & very accomodating upon request (we asked for a knife to use on our picnic by the beach - no problem!) Breakfast cooked by Liz herself, delicious scrambled eggs reminding us of home & decent coffee! Beds were comfortable, shower was hot & beautiful water pressure, little street noise (comparing to previous hostals we have encountered on our travels... 7 weeks) 100% recommended this hidden gem

I recently stayed at Pension Alicia and I cannot praise the owner, Liz enough. On arrival our room wasn't quite ready so we got the bus (2 minute walk) into Marbella centre. Unfortunately within minutes my purse was stolen with all of my money/ID and bank cards in. I called Liz for help and she was incredible. She helped me with local numbers for the police and bus services and helped me report it too. I cannot praise her enough. We felt very welcome, almost like we were staying with a family friend! The breakfast was very yummy and the best part was PG tips tea! We slept like babies, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Air con was a god send too. Before arriving we asked to change our room from a double to a twin and it was no trouble whatsoever. The bus services are great and we were only 3/4 stops (10-15mins) away from Puerto banus. To get a taxi worked out around €7 each way. There is a lovely gin bar on the boulevard which is less than a 2 minute walk away and lots of little pizza and tapas restaurants - all cheap or very reasonable. It was a beautiful 10 minutes (if that) walk to the beach. It's a great location and you soon find your way around. I have already recommended this place to many people and I would definatley stay here again! It was so lovely to meet Liz and I'm sure I'll be back very soon! …

The hotel is located near enough to the main road to find parking and far enough away not to be kept awake. A short walk from the old town and within reach of the beach The family who run it are lovely and very helpful. Nice breakfast room. Good breakfast and turns into a bar in the evening. DOG FRIENDLY!

The hostal is a really nice place to stay if you are in Marbella. It's located near restaurants, the city and it's close to a bus stop which takes you directly down to the port for example. The rooms were very clean and spacious for a hostal and the owner is so friendly and answered all our questions. The hostal even has a breakfast area/ restaurant. I would def recommend this place if you are only staying for a few days and want to stay at a unique hostal.

Stayed here for 5 nights, the lovely Irish lady who took over a year ago is kind, friendly & very helpful. Fantastic value, clean, comfy bed, hot shower & continental breakfast available till noon! Little noisy at times maybe but you're in a Pension in a Spanish town, not the English countryside. The delights of San pedro - good restaurants, bars, fabulous beachside prom, shops, terrific kids play areas, extremely pretty church in town square - all within 10 min walks. You can walk or cycle to Puerto Banus & its 10min by bus to Marbella. Will return this year!

We weren't too sure what to expect from this Hostal considering the price that we paid. We arrived very late at night & they didn't have enough change to give us so trusted us to "pay tomorrow". We were very surprised by the rooms, spacious and spotless. I actually loved the bathroom, the tub was so big I felt like I was in an old movie when it was full. Breakfast was included in the bar below but is not really worth bothering with. If you want a breakfast that will set you up for the day you should try some of the restaurants around San Pedro (Hogan Stand or La Sala) are especially good. I should say that the bar does great toasted sandwiches and cocktails !! We left earlier than we had paid for because there was no air conditioning in our room & it was sweltering. There was a fan but did little to help. We tried to leave the windows open at night but the noise from the street cleaning, bar deliveries and general people going about their business was too much. Make sure to ask for an air conditioned room. Close to the town centre of San Pedro and about 10 min walk to the beach which has lots of bars and restaurants on the Promenade. Date of stay is incorrect as the filter doesn't go back any further. Actually stayed her Aug 14.…

Stayed here a few years ago when awaiting keys to our new apartment,it was so bad that it was not worthy of even one Star, Needs do as needs must, this July all the family descended on us,on being told that things had improved we ,my wife and I left our place to the kids and grandkids, and spent 3 peaceful nights here. The difference is amazing, fresh decor, lovely breakfast and reasonably priced with the lovely Liz,Julia and Aaron looking after you it s a revelation.
