Once you enter this beautiful old building (1757) it happens: a pleasant feeling of welcome. This is not a hotel, it is a "herberg" (inn). The owner is Els and I have to say she makes your stay worthwhile. The rooms are cozy, small and the beds are single beds. The shower is functional and the whole place is clean...

"Rijsbergen" is a small hotel (on a "bed & breakfast" basis) established in a historic building with a south-facing terrace and surrounded by a tree-lined lawn. The building is situated on the eastern edge of the village (a 5-minute walk from the village center). The distance to the beach is about 2 kilometers (1 1/4 mile).Your are welcome 365 days a year (provided you have reserved in advance).We dispose over 13 double rooms, 2 rooms for four persons and 2 rooms for three persons (only 1 triple room in winter time). Bookings for Friday, Saturday and in holiday periods only for a minimum of 2 nights (Easter, Whitsuntide, Ascension Day minimum of 3 nights). All rooms have their own shower & toilet. Most double rooms are situated on the ground floor (in a new wing built in 1998). In addition use can be made of two livings rooms and -during the opening hours- of the house bar. Rijsbergen primarily aims for individual guests and smaller groups. Unfortunately pets are not welcome. In the building smoking is not permitted. For groups of up to 37 people there is from November up to and including March -outside holiday periods- the possibility to rent the entire building. Rijsbergen does not have restaurant facilities, merely breakfast and -on request- lunch packages are being served. Within a short distance one can find -inside and outside- of the village several restaurants for lunch and dinner.
