Just returned from a six night stay at the Fairwinds Hotel. The hotel is in a lovely quiet location set back from the main road offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Three little girls and two adults couldn't fit everything in they wanted to do. The safe graasy area around the cabins, which have adequate space between them, meant parents could watch through the patio doors as the children played and made friends with their neighbour's children. What an absolute find! Peaceful location (red squirrels, ducks, rabbits, a Wellingtonia tree) and the hosts, Alison and Lindsay, are almost straight out of a fairy tale! Warm and friendly, open and trusting and the attention to detail is amazing (my husband had his jumper, which he'd thrown over a chair, neatly folded - he doesn't get that at home!).... More
