Set within the Menai Bay conservation area and within walking distance of Kizimkazi village, Unguja Lodge is in a great location. After spending 5 nights relaxing at Pongwe it was great to have various activities available to us. The rooms at Unguja are just unbelievable! Huge open spaces with stunning views of the indian ocean. The design is very unique.... More

This place is an oasis. The owners Ralph & Elise are such lovely people & their passion for Unguja is clearly shared by all the the staff. We were married there on 14.2.12 after a 2 week safari in Tanzania and every person went the extra mile to make our day & stay amazingly special. They have a great team... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in January this year at Unguja Lodge. We loved it. It ticked all the boxes for us and we will return. I only have good things to say about the place. The hosts, accommodation, staff, food, drinks, weather were all exceptional. So relaxing and we didn't want to leave. My husband did... More

Wonderful escape away from hustle and commercialism. Had an ocean view "bungalow" which was delightful. Service from all the staff was superb. Food was excellent. This was a last minute booking, through Pure Zanzibar, as I unexpectedly had a few days spare whilst on a business trip - am now going to have to return and take my wife. No... More
