Having spent one week between Palermo and Trapani and having seen some breathtaking beaches and stayed at enchanting B&Bs, the highly rated island of Favignana left us somewhat under-satisfied... A nice place, but too touristic and massively overpriced compared to the rest of Sicily.
Cas'almare is a perfect representation of this... A beatiful place in a stunning location...but you pay...

- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
-
Cas'almare is a new oasis of waterfront tranquility and chic design on the Egadi Island of Favignana. Standing on part of the coast renowned for its transparent electric blue sea and golden tufo stone pools sculpted by quarryiers over the centuries, Cas'almare boasts seven beautiful rooms, direct access to its own beach club and close proximity (on foot or bicycle) to an excellent selection of restaurants, shops and markets in the historic port town of Favignana... As its name suggests, Cas'almare is right on the sea, surrounded by decking with shady and sun-drenched areas (depending on your preference). The beach club, which is also open to guests from the sister hotel, Casa Favonio, features a sandy beach overlooking the limpid waters that make this island so paradisiacal. In addition, there is a large, skippered speed boat available to whisk you off at a moments notice to one of the secluded bays nearby, or one of the neighbouring islands.
