We stayed overnight in two executive rooms - 306 and 308. They were clean, large and had a settee, chair and coffee table, plus a kingsize bed, with lovely comfy pillows. We stayed here as a stop off point on a journey to Brighton via Alton Towers! We arrived quite late on, but the check in was really quick and the staff very friendly. We had a family room - but they gave us one on the motorway side. Despite the "triple glazing" we hardly slept due to the noise from the road. Were given a different room the second night on the other side of the hotel. It was quieter - but could have been even better had it had the extra glazing... More

Arrived at 7pm check in simple and straightforward, room clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Tv limited but sufficient for needs, tea coffee, iron, hairdryer so forth available. Grind restaurant on site very good food and friendly atmosphere.

This hotel is right next to the M1 but noise is not a problem. The car park is round the back of the hotel and there is no direct access so you have to walk all the way round to the front entrance. I got an upgrade to an executive room which although is a strange shape is very large.... More

The hotel is right next to the M1. A good location if you need a bolt hole on a journey. The noise isn't an issue, as even in a room facing the M1 I wasn't disturbed. The rooms are a good size and clean and tidy. They are very strange though. The sink is in the bedroom and the bathroom... More

Have stayed a number of times being a best western member have always found the price to be low for a high standard hotel.downside is no where to walk I.E local pub , restaurant. A number of good Indian restaurants less than a mile away. Hotel is clean warm with very friendly staff close to both Derby & Nottingham ...... More
