Our hunting party just stayed at the Parkland Motel for five days and it was "livable". No bedbugs and the owner/manager kept us supplied with clean (but old) towels. They also vacuumed the carpet a couple of times during our stay. However, I would not even consider staying there with my spouse. We were up and rather noisy at 5:00... More

I was not going to bother reviewing this motel since Rosthern is not a real tourist destination but if you are ever driving through late at night and need a place to stay, continue on to Prince Albert (or Saskatoon depending on which way you are going)! We were in town for a family reunion and were planning on staying... More

I made the dubious choice of checking into this motel, with the jaw-droppingly bad room I was given: Among the many faults were: Sausage and evaporated milk left in fridge by a previous guest; mysterious pink stains on bedsheets (wondering if the sheets were actually washed, period?); a bent broken lamp, an old dirty stove having bare 2x4s as a... We were booked in to the motel for 2 nights. When we got into the room we noticed that he windows were wide open, the small bed was unmade (the comforter was crumpled as if tossed onto the bed), there was a severed electrical plug on the floor, and the only chair in the room was broken. The shower was... More

This motel was horrible. The smell of curry, cheap air freshner, threadbare towels and sheets, No button on the air conditioner, half a bottle of shampoo, holes in the shower wall. The shower head didn't even have a cover on it, it just shot the water out. When you buy deodorant, there is a foil cover on it, this was... More

I agree with everything the previous reviewer said. Plus the smell of curry will knock you down when you enter the office, and permeates the rooms too. No cleaning of rooms the second day. I did get fresh towels fromt he office the second day. Must be your absolute last resort to stay here...otherwise go to Prince Albert or Saskatoon. More

One of the worst motel experiences my wife and I have ever had. There are only two motels in Rosthern. We read the 2008 review and thought we would get a pleasant room. We had a family reunion close by, and we needed a room for two nights. To begin with the chambermaid is the new owners 13 year old... More

This is one of the nicest, cleanest small motels I have been in. The owners/managers obviously take great pride in what they do. Very friendly and a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed much history and excellent theatre opportunities, along with golfing and hunting. A full, enjoyable time. More
