We spent 2 days at the hotel, which was a birthday treat for my son. Receptionist welcoming and very polite, raised our hopes up. Large room and proper third bed but cracks all around ceiling and grout in the bathroom put us off. This hotel needs a handy man who will go from room to room doing it up. Lovely... More

two day booking - staff very kind and helpful - facilities perfect. Food of a very high standard all round - dinner on both nights excellent, clearly a chef who enjoys his art! A very relaxing place to stay and perfect for all kinds of occasions. complimentary items very generous - especially the delightful champagne cocktails! More

Not impressed by the hotel, felt it was very tired looking and not clean. I have to say Fiona in the spa was fabulous and her area very clean The shower room really needs updating, a mouldy shower curtain and faulty shower was not acceptable nor was the dirt around the taps.Lockers so outdated too. The pool was grubby and... More

I am very disappointed to read your review as we pride ourselves on high level friendly service which includes offering a tidy and clean environment. Fiona who runs her beauty therapy with great pride will be equally disappointed and we will endeavour to rectify all that you have mentioned. I would have welcomed the chance to speak to you at... Did not know what to expect, as we had booked the hotel, where the wedding reception was being held. When we arrived check in was very quick and efficient. The room was very pleasant and had tea and coffee making facilities, plus all the other niceties you would expect, but don't always get. The surroundings were very pleasant. The food... More

I booked the Oriel at the last minute on a KGB deal, from the beginning the staff were friendly and helpful from doing the booking to from checking out. We had arrived early so our room was not quite ready to book into, the receptionist put our case into the back of reception and we went for a drink and... More

We stayed here for a two night break as part of a KGB deal. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant and I would recommend staying here. The staff are excellent and professional, the food is above average and there is a great selection for breakfast. They have a 24 hour bar too and the walk to St Asaph is 15... More

First impression is of a rennovated buiding surrounded by car parking and tarmac. How much nicer it would be to have landscaped gardens. There is a pleasant large conservatory on the side of the building which leads through into large dining rooms and a small bar. Reception is modern and I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Corridors suffered... More
