I have read the spanish reviews and really don't understand how they could have had a bad experience like that. I was pleased with every aspect of my stay and, for having traveled all around Mexico, I can tell you that a nice hotel like that is rare and such a welcoming staff even more rare. We arrived in Celestun expecting nothing, went to the beach to relax and found Hotel Gutierrez right beside the beach. We thought we would stay 1 or 2 days and ended up staying 7 days. We loved our hosts so much, felt safe and could not believe we had a hot shower and such a clean bathroom in Mexico... and... More

“Inexpensive Hotel, great host”

On my trip to Celestun, Yucatan I spend 2 days/nights at Hotel Gutierrez. The Hotel is in a great location, nice & inexpensive rooms and the owners are very friendly and helpful. From the hotel it´s a short walkway on the beach to the flaminco-tours. Everything is nearby and the good thing is Celestun has now also 2 ATM. More
