On arrival I thought that I had stepped back in time Although not a large chateau the ambience of the chateau and the surrounding parklands had a sense of days gone by There is an archway designed by Leonardo and lovely grounds to stroll through Had a French cooking course here which just added to the whole experience I was... From the moment we arrived we were smitten by the place. The staff is amazing. The front office staff can not do enough to help. The breakfast is wonderful. We ate dinner there one evening and wished the meal would have never ended it was so nice. The room was clean and well taken care of. The on suite facilities... More

Go for the tomatoes and stay for exceptional variety of heirloom vegetables. The worst part is for gardeners and lovers of fresh produce is the inability to pick / eat while wandering the paths. We had dinner in the gardens and while very good it wasn't exceptional but well worth it for the ambience and the fact that we didn't... More

This chateau looks gorgeous from the outside and the rooms are large and comfy. The grounds have been spoiled by an environmental idea gone bad - they have white signs everywhere and some very bad modern art - including large art of plastic garbage to discourage the use of plastic bottles - although the hotel ignores this and had 5... By chance, we arrived during the tomato festival in September. We were on our honeymoon. The gardens have hundreds of varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We awoke to thousands of French families converging on the chateau for the festival. You could buy seeds from strange varieties of vegetables. The people were very friendly and it was a highlight of our trip.... More

The best reason for coming here is the gardens. We had previously visited the tomato festival, so ensured we timed a two day stay so that we could be there on the Saturday morning when this annual event takes place - and great fun it is too, with much more than tomatoes to see. These are serious vegetable growers. There... More

The chateau looks perfect but when we arrived travel-weary at 3.45pm, our room was not ready. We waited 90 minutes before it was ready for us - and I had to go and find the cleaners and ask them to prioritise cleaning our room. The hotel restaurant was fully-booked and when I asked where we could eat I was given... More

We stayed one night at Chateau de la Bourdaisiere and it is almost worth five stars. The chateau itself is beautiful and set in lovely gardens. The downstairs rooms of the chateau have been kept in an elegant style and are historic and interesting. Our bedroom was fine and traditional with a comfortable bathroom. The welcome we received on arrival... More

We were in one of the outer buildings and it was big, gorgeous, quiet and like everything you dream about. Having driven from the crowded, touristy city of Carcasonne it was magical and healing. I wish that I had skipped that part of the trip and spend more time at this beautiful, idyllic place.

This château is an original, in every way. It is surely a rare and magical experience to stay in an actual Loire château, and Bourdaisière is in the fairy-tale league, with its renaissance façade and pepper pot turrets. The gorgeous garden is equally astonishing, run as a conservation project to nurture no fewer than 640 rare breeds of tomato! If... More

We really appreciate your coments which help us to improve our product and service. We felt to make a twin bed before your arrival but when the point has been raised, the neccesary action has been taken to correct the situation, as we know. As the building is an old castle we had to set the rooms and bathrooms with... More
