stayed one night and this place is great, rustic and mexican to a T. Just a few blocks from the historic center and needs some navigation to find, but worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel exudes mexican charm.

We went on a 3 day stay at this hotel, the staff is really nice and they are always available. Our arrival was on Friday and they inmmediately lead us to our room. The hotel is really nice, warm, it has a lot of ornaments and figurines along the way, it has an inner patio which is also really beautiful....

Clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast on the weekend. We stayed in room 21 which had a king sized bed. The room itself was nice and spacious. I find all the beds in Mexico hard and this was too. But, you overlook a pen which has a rooster and turkey which starts making noise well before sunrise. I would...

We just completed a wonderful stay at this hotel. Great room, outstanding breakfast and very friendly service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Tapalpa is a great place to visit in Jalisco Mexico. Very nice main square and good restaurants.
Tapalpa is one of Mexico's "magic towns", an easy drive from Guadalajara, with magnificent views as the road winds up through the mountains. Hotel La Casona is extremely clean, the rooms are spacious with working fireplaces, and the breakfast offers an extensive choice of things to eat and drink. A great deal of time and care has gone into all...

This 24 room hotel is one of the largest in the town of Tapalpa. Although one of the trip advisor key words for this hotel is "Pacific Coast" it is at least three hours inland. it is about two and a half hours southwest of Guadalajara. The hotel is in a quiet (for Mexico!) neighborhood about 6 blocks from the...

Tapalpa is a cute little town in the mountains an we booked four rooms at this hotel. Three were in the front, with nice windows with shutters. The colors and decor were very effective, with wood trim and a fireplace with wood ready to light. The other room was on the courtyard and much less charming, but when my sister...

We were very impressed with the small, delightful, immaculate, family-run "La Casona Hotel" in the lovely mountain town of Tapalpa, Mexico where we stayed for 4 nights. Each room was individually and artfully decorated. The rooms were arranged on 2 1/2 floors around a central courtyard with lots of potted plants and comfortable sitting areas. The wife and daughter of...

This 5-year-old family run hotel built in traditional mountain Mexican style was a real
delight! The owners/managers and their staff were friendly and helpful. The food was
delicious! The rooms -- each with fireplace and special touches, such as handmade soaps and plush linens -- were tastefully appointed. The owner's artist-daughter has
left her special touch in the decorations......and in...

A truly unique and splendid place perfecty positioned for hiking, parasailing, golf and cultural sightseeing, or simply 'recharging your batteries', in an unspoiled Mexican mountain village. From the adobe huts of Atacco, with its Indio culture surviving and rediscovering itself, while incorporating the historicaly significant and now partially restored Spanish Franciscan "Mission", with its two glorious 16th Century churches and...
