Located in the city centre, the hotel has a lot of potential to attract greater crowd but failed miserably, the only thing that makes it bearable is the attentive staff, at least during our stay there. Having stayed at its previous sister's hotel, we had the same expectations but coming into the room, we were greeted by the smoke stench and a malfunction air condition. We requested for a maintenance guy to check in and it was immediate and the room changed was done promptly and we were given the new room within five minutes. The room is super basic but relatively clean. Nothing much to shout about and our view was an odd looking space which filled with trash and some kind of broken wooden tables. The in room wi-fi is good. The lobby was nice but it was not air conditioned during my wait and it was very hot. Breakfast was average.

Check in at 11 pm, and i have not seen any guest car around. However check in process quite smooth. The room little bit old with tear here & there. On bed, i found few small ants! I could not get well sleep as it is so creepy (google about the hotel, you will find it). For breakfast, they offer few menu to choose, not buffet style. The milk for cereal got ants again!! The only good about this hotel : friendly staff & cheaper price.

We drove from KL arriving early hours of the morning, but they let us checked in anyhow. Now how many hotels in KL would do that? Since there's five of us, we got a junior suite which was pretty good. It has 1.5 bath, 2 twin beds and 1 double bed in a separate room. Breakfast was acceptable. There are numerous restaurants and food stalls right outside. They have a large swimming pool out facing its restaurant. A bit far from town so its quiet and peaceful.

Sungai Petani is not a popular tourist destination, and if you're a backpacker on a budget, you may find this place okay to stay in, but as a business traveler, it's disappointing. I have stayed at this hotel three times now out of necessity since I had business in the area and it was arranged by my hosts. The first time was five years ago and back then I thought it was okay, but now it's seriously getting old. The hallways smell like mildew. The AC is so loud it's like having a vacuum cleaner on. The breakfast is very limited and not tasty. The WIFI doesn't work. Towels are hard and threadbare. I don't know how much my hosts paid for this place but if you had to pay for it yourself, I'd certainly give it a miss.

Quite sad indeed to see this hotel in such a state compared to what it was many many years ago. It looks awfully old and tired. Sheets were not clean, room was not clean as well. Hope it gets better !

From Butterworth took a public bus to Sungai Petani bus terminal about an hour, from there took a cab about M$ 10-15 to the hotel. First time check in to this hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Room and wash room in an average . Test the mixture shower tap before you use, may be both side hot. You can request the receptionist to call a cab or you walked out the main road waiting time a bit longer. Nearest shopping mail is SP Plaze about 10 min walked . Further down to Menara Jam Besar Sungai Petani ,there a market and coffee stall over there, you can had a taste of local food. There not much variety for breakfast. There a swimming pool.

we went there for Thaipusam. The hotel isin walking distance to the temples. The rooms are in good shape, basic amenities in the bathroom, hot shower was working with good water pressure, beds are a little small, airconditioning is fine. The breakfast offer a good selection for everyone.

Second time here under new management. The bathroom really seriously need refurbishment. Larger towel would be nice. Should pay attention to minor but important aspect- eg curtain cannot be closed fully, some points not even hooked-up. Paid only RM80/nite (without breakfast) the last time I was here. Todays price is RM180/nite with breakfast.
