This hotel is right on the river, has 3 restaurants underneath including Domino's and Secret Recipe. Not far is a myriad of local eateries including Satay Combat which got our vote for best satay from Singapore to Muar! The rooms were comfortable enough but no glasses provided for drinks and I had to take a star off for the coffee cups left unwashed from the previous guests. The balconies could be improved by replacing the obstructive railings for simpler ones and the hot dishes at the buffet breakfast were usually served cold. A little bit of improvement would make this a great hotel, the staff largely were extremely helpful.

Just an overnight stay to explore Muar, chose this hotel because of its location by the river; but was disappointed when told only family rooms have river view. Our double room was spacious and clean with adequate-sized toilet. Parking is free (outdoor) but limited and location is not too bad - you can easily walk to Tanjung Emas to admire the beautiful sunset and enjoy the lovely park. Plenty of shops nearby. Simple buffet breakfast is included with the room package

Me and my family of 6 stayed at this hotel for 1 night during our road trip across Johor. We like the location which is by the riverside and in the middle of Muar town. There are nice and popular eateries like Secret Recipe at the hotel ground floor. Next to the hotel is a popular food courts that is opened for breakfast until late night. Getting foods and drinks are not a problem here. The rooms are clean and spacious with nice layout esp the family room. We also love the view of the river and the beautiful sunset. This is not a 5 stars or luxury hotel but it does has it charms. The room rates are reasonable. It includes a simple breakfast too. But I suggest you skip the hotel breakfast and go for the excellent choices of eateries around the hotel. We like this hotel and will stay here again if and when we are in Muar.

Went here last Saturday 1 night for a short getaway with my family (family room).. The hotel is fully booked on that day, i think maybe the lembah klang people run here due to water crisis including me actually.. Heard so many rumours about this hotel from others about their creepy experience.. They heard someone laughing, baby crying, water sound from their bathroom at night, someone knock their window etc etc.. Upon my check in, the receptionist assigned us at the haunted level (which level i dont want to say hahha).. From my observation, yeah i admit that i heard all of that BUT not from a ghost tho. Sound of someone chatting, laughing, baby crying, coughing, shower, came from the guests at the same floor.. The room soundproofing is so terrible.. Imagine that i have to deal with it.. i have to put my earphone till i asleep .. Luckily no love making sound.. I do hope the management can upgrade the room soundproofing, so annoying.. For the window knocking, its just came from the wind that hit the loosen window.. Just a normal situation if stay at high level beside the estuary I also hope that they can well use the space of the room.. Family room spacing so big but it still like, empty.. Only have basic furniture and items About the bathroom, maybe can redesign it again...? bathroom space so small and a lil bit cramped.. Big room with a small bathroom still no use.. Other than that, no complain from me.. All good.. Really enjoy to stay here and will definitely come again in future.. Have to give averall 3 stars only due to those complaints especially on the soundproofing issue

Our room was clean and comfortable. It has the basic amenities. The hotel is close by to food outlets, 1km away from the famous Sai Kee 434 Coffee (we walked there), also near to the murals made famous by a young MP. Parking is free

the best thing about the hotel felt a bi tatthe look from the outside whichis in better shape than the rooms inside which are getting a bit tatty. I had a twin room but the beds were way too small for me - 6ft 1in. they were ok with putting a bike in the room. big shout out to the lad working the concierge desk in the lobby.

We got the corner room on the 11th floor, facing the Bridge over Muar River - pleasantly surprised at the spacious & comfortable interior, which came with a balcony. Bed was comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked well. The toilet was a little cramped & it is strange that with all the space in the room, they didn't think to make the toilet a little larger, & the door to the bathroom was a double door, like a cupboard. Other than that, the room was good. The Reception is located on Level 6 & not on the ground floor. Staff there are pleasant & polite. The car park (free for guests) is outdoor, no covered or basement parking available, so anytime it rains, it will be a tad inconvenient. Breakfast on Level 3, included in the price of the room, was uninspiring but it had an Egg Counter where you can have eggs done any way. The supervisor kept the service running smoothly. The hotel is somewhat at the edge of town but most of the restaurants, shopping & tourist spots are within a 15-minute slow walk. Other places like Parit Jawa Fishing Village (20 minute's drive), or Don Hu Jurassic Garden (15 minutes drive across the Muar Bridge) require transportation (we drove our own car) The Chocoloco Caffe on the Ground Level serves waffles, crepes & churros with generous amounts of chocolate for a reasonable price. Lapo Hous Muo, a container cafe next to the hotel, serves tasty & reasonably-priced Nasi Lemak with a variety of fried meats - mostly chicken, squid & prawn.

Room okay but bathroom very small. Air conditioning cooling. No basement parking so will be inconvenient if rain. Breakfast lousy. There's no banquet staff at the event room and when managed to get someone they are all rude and with bad attitude. Meals provide for the events need improvement as well.
