The Turtle's Nest was like a home away from home in Anguilla. The maid service was exceptional and the beaches were pristine. We will absolutely be staying there again when we return to this gorgeous island!

This hotel is a great location in the middle of Meads Bay with great restaurants in walking distance. The beach is amazing. I had a few issues. We booked an ocean view room which technically it was but if you see my pictures it was completely blocked by trees to my disappointment. Also if it matters to you the pool is always in the shade and they don’t clean up and reset the beach chairs each night as most places u have been to do. The beach chairs filled up each day and there wasn’t always somewhere to sit with an umbrella. Not the hotels fault but I was woken up each night by loud guests yelling and slamming doors. The rooms are not very sound proof. One night a couple was fighting yelling profanities and screaming between 1-2 am and there is no security or front desk to call in the middle of the night. Overall a nice affordable place but we had a few issues while we stayed.

We stayed here two nights after being disappointed at a property on Rendezvous Bay. I had been considering this property while booking, but ended up not booking it because they have no restaurant or bar on premises. Once we saw the location we realized that it was exactly what we were looking for. It is on a beautiful beach in Meads Bay, and is close to many great restaurants, including the Straw Hat, next door, which offered beach service from the bar and restaurant. Also, Blanchard’s is right nearby, and that was actually the reason we came to Anguilla. The Beach Shack was great for lunch and happy hour, and the restaurant was exquisite. We had two different rooms because that was all that was available for a last minute booking. Both units were wonderful, even had washer/dryer in unit. Fully equipped kitchens and modern bathrooms. Staff were wonderful! We will definitely return!

My 17 yr old son and I got bumped from our flight from St. Martin and the soonest flight they had to Miami was 2 days later but only from Anguilla. Honestly what was a bad situation turned into such a wonderful blessing. Having to find a place to stay at such a short notice and not know anything really about the island I came across several places that had availability and as I was reading reviews I came across Turtles Nest which had great reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the property, the greeting from the front office was so welcoming and friendly. Our room ( more like a studio apartment ) was nice and spacious ,very well equipped with full kitchen even had a washer/dryer which made my life so much easier. Location of the property was perfect right on the beach which was absolutely gorgeous. What we didn’t plan turned out has to us wanting to come back to check out the island.

What can I say that the other reviewers haven’t said? Turtle’s Nest is a gem!! Perfect location on the absolutely stunning Meads Bay. Walking distance to plenty food options (restaurants are pricey!) and thankfully a supermarket. Our studio apartment was clean, acceptably updated, comfortable, had a sea view and totally adequate for two adults. The price was the most reasonable we could find for beachfront on Meads Bay. There was low occupancy so we really felt like we had the place to ourselves. The STAR of the Turtle’s Nest experience is most definitely Jacqui! What a wonderful, friendly, attentive host! As for the roosters? Yes, they are out there & yes you will see and hear them (and quite loudly I might add). Bring earplugs? Because Turtle’s Nest can’t be beat! We’ll be back!

We just finished ten glorious days at Turtle’s Nest and couldn’t be happy. The resort exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a second floor studio (2BE). The studio had up-to-date appliances, terrific AC and small very private balcony. Jacqui, the manager went above and beyond making our stay perfect. For those unfamiliar with Mead’s Bay the resort is in the middle of a beautiful beach that we think is the best on the island. The resort is within walking distance of several delightful restaurants. We’ll be back again.

Everything was perfect, the resort location in a perfect beach. Meads Bay by far is the best beach in Anguilla crystal clear water, so relaxing. Jacquie so kind, at 5 pm rum punch for everybody so good. We stayed in a 4th floor studio, well equiped kitchen, need some update but comfortable and inmaculate clean. There is a supermarket 8 minutes walk and restaurants nearby. We had lunch at Blanchards beach shack reasonable prices and good food. Thanks Jacquie and all the staf Turtles Nest beach resort!

Amazing experience! Clean, well stocked units, great staff, and of course phenomenal views! The staff are great, from the front desk to house keeping. Our bed was extremely comfortable, house keeping did a great job keeping the unit clean, and the beach and our chairs on it were perfect. There's an adorable cat who lives at the resort. Be sure to meet her. The location is perfect, with countless restaurants and bars on either side of the resort. Thanks for such a great stay! We already are planning our return while waiting to fly back home at the airport!

Numerous issues with this place. BBQ is coal heated. Prepare BBQ well in advance to meal time. SUP boards are crap. One has no fins and paddle adjustment is broken. Toaster was broken. Maid did not replace TP or hand towels. Linen is not new daily. Just straighten and made. No cutting board. Some beach umbrellas do not stay open and many are tattered. Main air conditioning unit was stuck on 23 degrees. Second bathroom has no fan and window opening allows strangers to have view access. Second bedroom is extremely small. No side tables or lamps, small closet. Built for 1 only. Sliding door handle broke and all they did was permanently lock it. Did not replace. Stairs are uneven creating tripping hazards. Railing are below code height. Danger. These condos are outdated and all need upgrades. Only plus is great location. Stay somewhere else on Meads Bay.

Cons: *I don't want this to happen to anyone else trying to celebrate or relax on vacation which is why I'm posting. Be extremely sure you are receiving the room pictured at booking. We did not receive the room pictured at time of booking. If we did, this review wouldn’t be being written. Also, it looks like two other Airbnb reviewers had the same issue-John in April 2023 and Rolanda in June 2022. In those cases, the host actually did something about the issue. For my case, NOTHING WAS DONE. I ask the hosts to imagine if they were in our shoes. What if they viewed photos at the time of booking, traveled over 3,300 miles to that place, and then discovered the room provided was in fact completely different? I had to get Airbnb involved which you will read more about below. If you are in fact seeing correct photos at the time of booking, it’s because Airbnb had to prompt the property to do so so that customers know what to expect (see proof in the pic of my correspondence with Airbnb). Imagine that-a property having to post photos so customers know what to expect. This is business 101 and clearly this property does not know how to conduct. The issue is that Turtle’s Nest provides you pictures from two separate 4th floor rooms as opposed to a specific one that you’ll be housed in. In addition, photos of our specific kitchen and bathroom were never featured on the listing and if I had to guess, it’s because it’s a completely outdated room with a less than quality bathroom (you can find mold in my attached pics). The fixtures and appliances in our room were completely different and outdated compared to the stainless steel and cabinetry photos seen at booking (fridge, stove, flooring, ceiling fan, cabinetry, bathroom all different + a much smaller balcony). I have posted photos of our room and from the original booking and you will see what I mean. You will easily tell the difference between which photos are the ones of the room I'm currently in and the listing's photos. When we questioned reception initially, they told us verbatim, “The image that you sent us is the view taken from the Studio you are currently in. Please note that there was not a mix up with Studios.” First off, I never sent them an image of the view/room, only a screenshot of our correspondence which stated I would be in the pictured room. Second, this is a bold-faced lie. When we wrote that we find it hard to believe we were given the pictured studio as the appliances were completely different, they did not respond. Again, I never questioned the view. I questioned the room provided. We saw other guests’ accommodations that had stainless steel fridges and were more updated. I had to get Airbnb involved on the issue of which you'll learn more about below. *Bathroom has stains, cracks, hair not our own and mold. Feels icky. See pics. *Shower pressure is quite low so it's sometimes difficult to blast sand from body when showering. *Uneven stairs to get to 4th floor are a safety hazard *Boyfriend found large bug in our room, however I cannot view the picture and post it until we are gone (so I can actually sleep tonight) Pros: The view The beach Well-landscaped grounds Housekeeping comes each day Heated pool Although there are pros, instances like this are why you bite the bullet and pay more to stay at a resort. False advertising is simply unethical and an apology, some sort of compensation, or being moved to the advertised room would have been the right thing to do instead of denying the truth. Airbnb had to tell the the property to update their photos (see pic of my correspondence with Airbnb). Customers expect to be housed in exactly what they see at the time of booking and if there’s a change to that, the customer should be notified. Even some sort of notice at booking regarding this would have been helpful but now they have a poor review due to not providing notice or taking accountability. The property refused to provide even a partial refund, We gave the property an opportunity to make it right and they did nothing. The photos simply do not lie!
