Five independent cottages each with their own shaded terrace and BBQ in a beautiful property forming a small hamlet consisting of two “longères” in old stones and two separate houses. With swimming pool, tennis court, golf driving range, children's playground, games room (ping pong, table football, darts, ...), bicycles, rackets, DVDs, books, board games available. Located in Dordogne, between Sarlat and Bergerac, in Black Périgord, on 15 ha of forest and greenery, Le Bouillatou offers a completely renovated complex to offer comfort, calm, serenity and "well-being". In the farmhouse, 3 cottages can accommodate 5 (or 6) people (each with a master bedroom and a room with three single beds); a cottage in a house can accommodate a family of 4 with a double bed and two single beds. The last cottage is a studio cottage for a couple.

This is our fifth stay here so that says it all. Four years since our last stay and it's still a great venue. We've an extra member of the family now and we've all been having a ball here. Highly recommended for families and couples alike. We first stayed here 10 years ago when it was just two of us and it is a superb base for exploring the Dordogne. Plenty on site to keep the kids happy. The owners Steve and Becky couldn't be more helpful.

Ideal location for peace and quiet. Wonderful hosts , it feels like a home away from home. Despite a mega heat wave (which i was trying to escape from Florida) it was comfortable in the cottages and perfect for dosing under the grape vines during the day. Would recomend to all wishing a taste of the real France away from the big cities. Great place to stay and do day adventures to remote exquisite countryside. Thanks Steve and Becky.

Just returned from 2 weeks staying in La Chataignier which was perfect for our 2 kids as it looked on to the play park from the patio area. The gite had everything we needed and had a good sized living area. The gites have a pool, play area and a tennis court. There is a weekly BBQ which is great to meet the other guests and chat to Becky and Steve about where to go and visit. If there was anything you needed they were always very helpful. The gites were close to many places to visit and not too far from the supermarkets. Fortunately there were 4 other families with kids of similar ages so we had spent many hours at the pool, play park or visiting the chickens or the dogs. Great holiday definitely recommend.

I love this place - Steve and Becky are wonderful hosts and can't do enough to make your time there more enjoyable. Set in rural France, it is truly a break from it all. Castles everywhere, beautiful scenery, and REALLY nice people. I highly encourage you to book here and see what this place has to offer, you will not regret it. This place is also great for events, the roast pig is awesome!!!!

I spent a lovely solo trip here. The Lea family is absolutely wonderful and welcoming and the gites are extremely spacious and beautiful. There is a beautiful lawn and the surrounding towns are picturesque French countryside views. I was able to visit historic castles, an underground crystal cave, ancient cave paintings, and I saw so many amazing views of the Dordogne River. The family was extremely helpful (thanks to them, I also have a successful trip to Paris), and Becky is a phenomenal cook! I had never been to Europe previously but they were so accommodating and kind to make sure I arrived safely and smoothly. Wonderful family, beautiful and relaxing place, I miss it and want to go back!

The Gite was clean , spacious and well equiped with everything you need and in an idylic setting . We took becky and steve,s advice on places to visit and restaurants to try and were not dissapointed , there is so much to do and even in october the weather was reasonable . The nearest town Belves was a delight and a canoeing trip on the dordogne is a must .

Wonderful two weeks, staying at Bouillatou was amazing, Becky, Steve and Tillie were fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough. Beautiful Gites and the main house was perfect for us our 2 children and friends. So much to do and thanks to Becky we knew everything that was happening in the local area and a bit further afield. Markets, festivals, Cave visits, chateaus, kayaking down the dordogne, beautiful. Highly recommended for peace and quiet and a chance to see the beautiful Dordogne. The service was brilliant, food amazing we will definitely go back which is something we have never done, we always feel there is always somewhere new to visit but Bouillatou has definitely changed our minds. Well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed for a fortnight and had a wonderful time - there is loads to see and do around here. Steve and Becky were so helpful and offer a concierge service to rival a 5* hotel, with suggestions of what to do each day, help making all sorts of bookings and reservations and lots of info about local events during your stay. Also, their Tuesday night parties are not to be missed - a few sore heads around the pool on Wednesdays!! Recommend.
