It about 20 Kilometers to Cognac, but well worth the drive. Four of us stayed two nights and were sad to leave. Our favorite place on our trip through France. As stated in other reviews, do yourself a favor and have dinner every night of your stay. More

This was a business stay during the Angouleme BD fest, and we selected it primarily because of the lack of rooms closer to the city. That said, however, we loved it, despite the 40m drive to town. The relais is located in a beautiful setting and is surrounded by Cognac vineyards as far as the eye can see. The scenery is somewhat reminiscent of Tuscany. This is a really unique experience. The rooms are fabulous, and the setting is gorgeous. But the dinner is the experience.
