We had the superb upstairs bedroom in this glorious house in a stunning location. Jack was a wonderful host and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. More

We stayed with Jac in early May 2012. Chosen wholly on the Tripadvisor reviews we weren't disappointed. Baleshare is a beautiful, peaceful island off the West coast of N Uist, accessed via one of the many connecting causeways of the smaller Western Isles. Like many of the reviews we have to agree this is like no other B&B we've experienced.... More

We stayed here for one night only at the beginning of April 2012 on a whistle stop tour of the Outer Hebrides. What a retreat! Jac's a very talented artist who designed the house himself and you can really feel that the place has a soul. The views are Phenomenal with panoramas of the ocean and of the nearby moorland.... We stayed here back in May 2011 as part of our honeymoon. Jac made us extremely welcome and we had a really good stay - only problem was it was too short! We were in the upstairs bedroom which has a large Scandinavian style (king size) bed which has amazing views across Baleshare. Breakfast was a refreshing change from cooked... More

Ditto all of the others. If you're in this neck of the woods, you would make a mistake if you missed out on staying with artist Jac. More

We visited Jac on his birthday, mentioned it so he will know who we are. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed 'Jac's Place immensely. Lovely room with gorgous views from all 3 windows! The room was I think a typical Scandanavian style, very airey with a lovely big colourful comfy bed. Our breakfast was a continental nature, lots to... More

Bagh Alluin is without a doubt one of the very best B&Bs we have had the pleasure to stay in. Jac and his family are extremely welcoming, generous hosts with local knowledge. This B&B does have an informal atmosphere which is perfect for the idyllic setting. If anyone is desperate for a fry-up, Jac will oblige but I would heatily... More

I stayed at Bagh Alluin during a solo bicycle trip through Europe. After cycling for a few months and nearing the end of my trip, I was a bit bike-weary when I booked a stay for two nights simply to relax and unwind. I left nearly a week later, so yes, saying I liked it is a bit of an... More

We stayed with Jac and his family for two nights during our honeymoon travelling around the Western Isles. It was the best place we stayed - despite paying a lot more money at some other B&Bs and hotels during our trip - and we hope to return one day. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Jac's son Caj, who... More

I can only agree with what others have said. We stayed for 3 nights in the downstairs, twin room which is comfortable, spacious and light with lovely views over the fields of Baleshare. A perfectly peaceful and quiet spot to enjoy a wonderful night's sleep. You won't leave hungry in the morning and the choice of home baked bread, warm... More
