Casa Palmira was our home away from home when my husband and I traveled to Tuscany on a culinary tour last year. As mentioned in earlier posts, the hospitality definitely deserves high marks. What was not mentioned is the delicious eggs Assunta made for us in the morning, along with other breakfast fare and the local oil and wine that... More

We 100% felt at home here. Assunta and Stefano were great hosts. They have made an old barn into an amazing guest house. The rooms were large with bathrooms and warm heaters. The lounge is very welcoming and a lovely place just to soak up the tuscan way of life. Our Family ( my hubby and my mum and dad)... More

Tuscany is a lovely country side that promises great wine, excellent extra version olive oil, unforgettable scenery and sightseeing, and an abundance of historical places. It only adds up to the marvel of the place to stay at a B&B such as Casa Palmira. My wife and I were there last September (2011) and we enjoyed every aspect of the... More

Ok, first the good news. The owners are very friendly, the B&B is clean and tidy, the rooms are nice and quite spacious, the food is excellent and we can recommend the cooking classes on offer. Then the bad news. This B&B is situated right next to a very busy road. This means that from early in the morning on... More

Hubby-pie and I stayed during the MotoGP weekend July 2011. Fabulous breakfasts with a great variety on offer including Assunta's lovely scrambled eggs. Teas, coffee and water available throughout the day in the beautifully cool and inviting living/dining room. Stefano and Assunta are marvellous hosts - very helpful and caring. Assunta was up at 7am (breakfast normally 8am - 10am)... More

We spent 7 beatiful days there. Assunta and Stephano are very nice and helpful people. They help you with everything. They are full of good ideas what to do and where to go. Their house and the garden are beatiful and you can really enjoy the tranquility of the Tuscan country side . We were very happy and satisfied there.... More

This charming bed and breakfast in the hills above Florence is accessible by car or a local bus. We used the local bus and had good fun with the driver and the other passengers. The rooms have been thoughtfully decorated with pretty fabrics and painted friezes. Breakfast is generous and Assunta (the owner) provides fresh breads, cereals, fruits and cooked... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Casa Palmira and I must say it was a lovely place. Cosy, comfortable rooms and living room, we could just laze around and relax. the garden outside was also lovely for relaxing in. We didn't see much of Stefano, but his wife Assunta is most gracious and helpful. It's a pity we didn't know... More

My husband and I selected Casa Palmira as the first of four accommodations during a two week trip through Tuscany and Umbria, using it as a base primarily for three days in Florence as we wished to experience the countryside as opposed to staying right in the city. The accommodation is located approximately 20 km outside of Florence and about... More

Situated in a country setting, this B&B is a perfect home away from home. Assunta and Stefano are the most gracious hosts. The home is clean and charming with a welcoming ambiance. It is a short distance from Florence and it is helpful to have a car for excursions. We would gladly chose Casa Palmira again if we are fortunate... More
