Excellent B&B in a real fortress. The setting is unique and can only be highly recommended. Try also the excellent restaurant at the fortress.

The sorroundings are really beautiful and spending the night in a castle is quite impressive (there was even an armour in the corridor!). THe location is great - a short ferry ride from Vaxholm. However be careful when you take the ferry as it was only free from 11am to 5pm out of those hours you either have to pay about 80 for the trip ,or book a boat taxi from reception which can be much chaper depending on the number of people... Stayed with wife and 3 month old baby for 4 nights in august as a base to explore the archipelago. Wanted to be close to roads in case something went awry with the baby.
