The Hotel Sommelo appears to have been built in the 1970s, and apparently has remained unchanged since then. The reception, foyer and restaurant are dark, gloomy and unwelcoming and the bedroom corridors, plain white brick walls without a hint of other decoration, are almost prison-like in their bleakness.
