I surprised myself with this one. While I could tell it would be adequate for our stay in northern Italy, I had no idea how perfectly the lower apartment would be arranged for the two of us. Very comfortable accommodations. Cooked several meals in the small kitchen. (A fantastic supermarket is very close.) Also did a few loads of travel laundry. Visited Verona, Padua, and the beach from here. Should have booked it for the two days prior, as Venice is quick and easy from this location, too. What you really get, though, at this modest price, is lifelong membership into a family with a deep history in the region. Their love for this land is contagious. Your stay here will be the highlight of your trip. It was mine. I'm making a point to go back one day.

Visiting Venice ? Before you snap fingernails booking an apartamento overlooking the Grand Canal or Marco Square remember Venice is like the Vegas of Italy, so take your ear plugs, but if you want to party all day in the hustle and bustle of Venice but come home and relax in peaceful surroundings, you can't go past Villa Tron Mioni. Gabriella and Alessandro are incredible hosts, and they offer a transit service to and from La Barchetta only an 8 minute ride to grand canal. Located on the River Brenta, there are lots of restaurants for you to indulge as Venice is over priced and targets the tourist pallet. Stick with the mainland at Brenta and relax. Gabriella makes a fantastic funghi risotto.

The travel experience, for us, is defined, not as much by a nightly accommodation or popular tourist activities, but by the people you meet and their passion for sharing their culture and daily way of life. We feel truly fortunate to have been embraced by the warmth and friendship of Sandro & Gabriella Mioni of the Villa Tron Mioni. Though we have only visited their home twice, and our first stay was very brief, we departed both times with the feeling of having been with longtime friends or family. They open their doors, but more importantly, they open their hearts and share a genuine warmth with their guests. Sandro and Gabriella have a sincere desire to make their visitors comfortable. If you make reservations to stay at the Villa Tron Mioni, you likely will never forget their warm hospitality and engaging spirit. They are very special people, and you could not ask for better ambassadors for Venice and the surrounding area. You will find the Villa and/or apartments clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. If staying in the Villa, Gabriella's breakfasts are wonderful, and might include homemade lemon cake (with lemons from their lemon trees), or fresh eggs from their chickens. The grounds are very well maintained, with beautiful flowers and walking paths. Gabriella and Sandro will gladly help you with anything you might need, or provide advice for shopping, sightseeing, food or restaurants. They are happy to help with any questions or concerns, not only in regard to your stay when at the property, but also with planning, local travel routes, or any issues with your booking and arrival. Gabriella and Sandro have a wealth of information about the area and are always happy to share their knowledge. We want to extend our thanks to both of them for the wonderful time we had this spring, and we hope to see them again very soon!

The owners of this villa are most wonderful hosts, who greeted us as soon as we drove through the gate. After warmly welcoming us, they offered us coffee in their villa and then escorted us for a detailed walk through of our apartment. Awaiting us there was a bowl of fresh fruit, eggs from their hens, and bottle of delicious Prosecco. The apartment we used, Portico Flat, was nicely renovated, spacious, well-outfitted for basic meal preparation, and comfortable for relaxation at either the small dining table or sitting room. The bath was especially comfortable with a very roomy shower. The classic features of the building in which the apartment is located were well preserved. And the modern heating/cooling units and modern windows permitted maintenance of a very comfortable temperature through both cool and warm days. Though the cable TV had numerous channels, I was unable to find any in English. However, the wifi connection was fast enough to support uninterrupted video streaming for needed news. Public transportation to Venice is easily accessed from the villa, and the town of Dolo offered fun eating establishments and shopping. Parking in that town is easily found.

I do not know where to begin to express how fortunate we were to spend a month with Gabriella and Sandro at Villa Tron in Dolo, Italy. The apartment was lovely, well equipped, and immaculate. My family was more than comfortable in one of Villa Tron's beautifully decorated apartments. My husband loves to cook, and be found the kitchen stocked with ample supplies. I am a bit of a "neat freak," and I can definitely say I have never stayed in a more well kept accommodation. The grounds are gorgeous, and the hosts are the best we have ever encountered during our fifteen years of utilizing VRBO/HomeAway Properties. Everyday the weather permitted I enjoyed my coffee outside on the lovely grounds prior to my husband and I taking daily walks around the beautiful estate. From the minute you arrive Gabriella and Sandro make you feel at home. They are there to assist you with any thing you need, from bus schedules to parking recommendations to restaurants. My husband experienced dental issues, and we were the victims of a fender bender where the offender left the scene. And who came to the rescue? Gabriella and Sandro. We were sad to have to leave this gorgeous estate! Believe me, if you stay at Villa Tron it will be one of the most relaxing holidays of a lifetime! We hope to return some day! Special love to Gabriella and Sandro who made our Venice experience better than we could have ever dream it would be!

We stayed at Villa Tron Mioni in October 2013 in the Altana apartment and we are still twelve months on talking about it. The apartment is perfect - large enough for our family of 5. Our boys fell in love with running around the vast property and playing with Morfeo the friendly old black labrador. Whilst during our stay we didn't get to meet Gabriella, as she was off on a well deserved holiday with friends, she managed to bake a cake for our arrival. We were looked after by Sandro, her husband, who was the most obliging host and looked after us exceptionally well. He even gave us a jar of their home made honey, when he discovered how much our youngest loved honey. We used it as a base for a day trip to Venice, leaving our car at the accommodation and busing into Venice. 30 minutes later and quite an interesting trip. The area is steeped in history and much to see and do. The Villa itself is historically fascinating and Sandro as I think 4th Generation to live in the house, has a great deal of knowledge. We cant wait to go back and stay with them one day.

We stayed for almost one week at Villa Tron Mioni in August 2014 and we enjoyed every minute of it! The most charming eighteenth century Villa is surrounded by a very park in which we were able to enjoy outside meals and quiet reading hours. The appartements are extremely well fitted, modern, clean and decorated with great style. The owners are exceptionally hearty and welcoming hosts; they will be able give generous and precious adivse on where to eat and what to see in the region. The Villa is a stone's throw away from Padova and is a very convenient base for visiting the very rich surrounding region. If you're looking for a fine gem in the area, don't look any further!

This was without a doubt the most amazing place we have stayed. We were warmly greeted by our hosts, Gabriella and Sandro plus Morfeo the very friendly black Labrador. We were given fresh eggs from the hens and then Gabriella made us the most amazing fig cake which was so big we never thought we would eat it all, but we did. The apartment was fabulous and the grounds were beautiful, you would pay money to visit them. Our hosts gave us great advice on where to go, things to do and where to eat. One balmy evening we had drinks with them under the trees it was very relaxing. This was a home away from home and we were very sad to leave.

Beautiful Venetian villas, where you can be a guest and you have the possibilities to understand how people live here from centuries. The owners are so nice people, from the first moment you will feel like old friends of the family. If you like the special atmosphere, to understand different cultures, and traditional hospitality, discerning environment, personality, tailor made holidays, that is a good choose. In the two bedroom apartment where we were are totally equipped, from the dish washer to the hair dryer and the books about Brenta and the aria. The park is around amazing. I hope to be back!
