We recently spent 4 days here. What an interesting and terrific place! You are met at the Quito airport by a representative from Sacha. From Quito you fly 30 minutes over the Andes to a town called Coca. There you are met by representatives from Sacha Lodge who basically take care of everything. From Coca you ride in a long,... More

There's nothing else to say. Our guide, David, and our native guide, Segundo, deserve a special shout-out! They made the whole thing an amazing experience by spotting the most obscure things, like hummingbird nests, owl monkeys, tarantulas, and even a juvenile rainbow boa! The rooms were great, the food delicious, and overall, the experience was fantastic. The property is stunning... More

This hotel was amazing, and the rooms were completely sealed from mosquitoes, a good thing. I also enjoyed the hikes very much, and our guide was great! More

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sacha Lodge in the Ecuador Rain Forest. The service was great. The Naturalist Guide (ask for Gus) and the Native Guide (ask for Wilson) were outstanding. The food was top notch considering everything has to be brought in by canoe from Coca which is 50 miles up the Napo river. We could... More

This lodge is fabulous - and we are fussy!! The journey in is an adventure and the lodge itself is fantastic. The rooms are great, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and the organization of the daily activities is personal and well executed. A real must for both adults and children. More

Wanted a NON-commercial non-crowded amazon experience.....found it here. Getting to Sacha is an experience.....making you symbollically feel like you are leaving civilization behind.....just what we wanted! guides both native and english speaking were great. Wildlife and environment lived up to our expectations! Highly recommend. More

Getting to the Amazon rainforest, even a relatively accessible bit of rainforest, is not a simple process. Sacha Lodge organise the process with precision that would embarrass the average modern army. You're met at Quito airport before even getting on the plane to the Amazon, and they even provide a nice pen (To keep! I love a free pen) to... More

We loved our stay at Sacha. Although we booked a birding specialist guide OSCAR, we had the added benefits of seeing more wildlife than any other group. This probably relates to the early 0500 starts and long mornings spent in the jungle and on the canopy platforms plus the incredible vision and abilities of our guides. The food was great... More

Where to start, positives & negatives…..we booked a 5 day/4 night stay at the Sacha Lodge and from the time we were met at Quito airport the trip ran like clockwork. The journey to the Lodge from coca takes about 2.30 hours in total. After initially settling in and being sorted into groups (according to our likes/dislikes – apparently!), we... More

Staff always friendly and helpful, facilities clean and comfortable, food plentiful and tasty, but the amazing experience we had was due to Oscar and Rodrigo our guides. Oscar is a truly gifted naturalist/birder who has lived in the Napo region his entire life. He identifies bird song, is able to call the birds and spot them even in the deep... More
