Friendly, efficient service, average food and clean room. The Horse and Farrier is a busy, popular pub / b&b catering for the coach loads of tourists that arrive in the Lakes.... It provided a comfortable bed after a long journey but I would not stay here again.

On arrival we were really well looked after by Jooles on Sunday morning then by Vicci, Nic and the entire team. A warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for us 4 walkers. A really friendly and comfortable village inn.Great place to set out for a walk with not only Skiddaw and Blencathra on the doorstep,but also the Castlerigg stone circle which you can accomodate into a circular walk into Keswick and then back along the old railway.
