  "My boyfriend and I stayed at Hector's by the Sea for five nights in the beginning of April after a friend recommended it. I cannot say enough good things about this place. In fact this is my first tripadvisor review, I felt so strongly about our stay that I felt it needed to be done! It is an amazin..."g and secluded property with three casitas that give you a lot of privacy and the most stunning view. Hector and Mary were gracious hosts and provided us with towels, beach chairs, great advice about the island and tropical drinks :). We felt very welcome while still maintaining a sense of privacy. We stayed in Casita 1 which was perfect for a couple and the room comes with a mini fridge, coffee maker, utensils and a great porch and hammock. The pool and hot tub were spotless and we loved sitting at the bar area. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a great beach vacation. Of note, you need to rent a car for the island.   "We stayed at At The Waves for almost two weeks in early May 2013 and rented the lower 3bedroom and 2bedroom units with family and friends who came and went at different times, for my husband's 50th bday celebration. From the first day, ATW felt like home. With two kids under the age of three, we h..."ad plenty of space in our unit, the pool and surrounding area was great for swimming at the little ones' schedules, held impromptu yoga classes on the lawn overlooking the ocean, we washed clothes as needed on site and cooked and barbequed numerous nights. All this was easily accomplished thanks to the set up at ATW. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Vieques. " More >

  "Loved our stay with Karl & Jenna's sweet hotel. Beautiful grounds, clean rooms, wonderful swimming pools (2!), excellent location, just a walk from the ferry and restaurants in town. We are glad we stayed in Isabel rather than Esperanza. The only other place we would consider next time is "The W" r..."esort but OMG, then one is talking about big bucks! I've no hesitation to fully recommend BBH when in Vieques. Also, do the Clear boat BioBay tour with Vieques Adventures - awesome. Scuba dive with Blackbeard - excellent! Eat at Conuco's for best food on island. Also great for glutenfree folks as is Mamasonga and El Patio. Very good health food store in town, too. We think the Vieques taxi is overpriced and they don't lift a finger to help with luggage! Go to the ferry and grab a public van for much less. " More >
