  "I hesitate to write this review because this is one of those places that when you find it, it you don't want to share with anyone else lest they change or ruin it in any way. Kingswell Resort is an unique spot with an ideal location--walking distance to swimming beach, restaurants and historic sites...". Rooms are clean, spacious with high ceilings and a million dollar view. Kingswell is enclosed within beautiful tropical gardens with an authentic caribbean atmosphere. It is like a mini zoo with iguana lizards, macaws, birds, dogs, cats, goldfish, etc. Their food is delicious and great dining area. Listening to the sounds of the rolling surf while eating, sleeping or simply relaxing is an unbelievable experience. Caveat-- Statia is an undeveloped island if you are expecting granite countertops, 600 TC sheets, stateside amenities go elsewhere but for those of us who enjoy authentic vacation experiences, this is the spot for you.   "Relaxing and Beautiful, Convenient Location"
  "I made a return trip to The Old Gin House on April 25-May 2. I stayed in an Oceanview room last year, but decided to save some cash and go for a Garden View room this year. Both rooms were spacious and clean. Obviously, the oceanview room was much nicer, but the garden view was nothing to be upse..."t about! I was in room #205. The air conditioner worked VERY well. My maid was wonderful. She took extra care to make sure the room was spotless each day. I am a diver and chose to dive with Scubaqua again this year, which is very convenient since it is just across the road. Old Gin House has excellent food, however they do not serve dinner other than on Wednesday when they have their weekly barbecue. I will definitely return to Statia and without a doubt will stay at Old Gin House for a third time. " More >
