  "Stayed at Manukan island for 4 nights. Great welcome and well furnashed chalets with very comfy beds, though agree with previous reviews bathrooms a little tired. The shower was good and it was possible to heat up water earlier in the day which was adequate for the two of us. Food was fine, large ..."portions and good choice on evening menu. Lunch BBQ seemed quite expensive at 50RM per person but we found the beach shack food excellent for lunch and less than 10RM each. The bar became a slight issue for us by the end of the stay as many items were out of stock which was hard to understand with the island being so close to the mainland. Snorkelling on Manukan island we found better than Mamutik with more fish. The lifeguard took us out to the best place to see fish on the first day - Snorkel out from by the sands bar past the black buoy towards the edge of the reef, you can then follow the drop off along and explore between the drop off and corner of the island.   "We love this island!! This served as a belated honeymoon for us and if you are a couple or just like having a truly relaxing holiday, then this really is the place to go! We were there for 6 nights in April as part of our diving holiday. We could easily have stayed for 2 weeks. From check-in to..." check-out we were made to feel special and welcome. The reception staff upon arrival were very friendly and accommodating. The welcome drink was refreshing and the cool towel was just what we needed. They even carried our bags all the way up to the bedroom in our 2 storey hillside villa. The excellent service continued at the restaurant. All waitresses were attentive, in particular, Angela. On our first night, we enjoyed a delicious (too big) beach-side cabana dinner. At times certain menu items were not available, but that only assured us that what was available was fresh.
