The view from Reception down across the bridge to the resort main island, for that is what it is, was special and our 2 bedroom house was perfect. Stayed with our daughter and son in law and their 3 children. The staff were fantastic with them especially 6 year old Zach, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderfully relaxing with great food. Yes it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for - secluded comfort and luxury in a beautiful setting. I normally get bitten first so took spray against the Mosquitos and had no problems, they are part of nature and not the hotel's fault after all.   "This was my fourth time at Goldeneye and my second this year. There is nowhere I would rather swim. The lagoon is fed by salt water, and certainly the best swimming pool I have ever been in. It also fun to kayak on it, and each lagoon suite has its own kayak. The food is spectacular. I recommend the..." plantain porridge or Pantrypant breakfast in the morning, the jerk chicken or spaghetti bolognese at lunch and the catch of the day at dinner. Also ice cream for desert drowning in Blackwell's rum. Goldeneye deliberately does not have a gym, since there are so many natural ways to exercise there, but the spa offers every treatment you could possibly want. Goldeneye is informal, comfortable (even in June we did not need the AC except for one night), original and a perfect place to recharge one's batteries.   "Mr. Blackwell has done it again.We spend a lot of time in JA. so I have covered plenty of ground over the years, and Goldeneye has quickly become one our favorite places on the island. All of the villas are beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Beach Villa, and it was incredible. Elegantly decorated, ..."plenty of space, the outdoor shower was fabulous (pressure and hot water can sometimes be an issue in Ja.), oh, and you're approx. 20 steps from the ocean, so the view is unbeatable. Add to the mix, wonderful food, and a fabulous staff, and this is just some of what we love about Goldeneye. My advice, go right to the website and make a reso ASAP !!! " More >
