The beach..." is spectacular, and a great spot for kids and dogs to play. Rathtrevor Provincial Park is about a five minute walk from the resort, with lots of trails to explore. Parksville is a five minute drive or 30 minute walk, where you have grocery stores, drug stores etc. galore, along with some lovely local shops. Further out, Coombes Market, Qualicum Beach and Little Qualicum Falls are a few of the attractions within about 20 minutes drive. The Grotto Spa at the Resort is great, albeit slightly overpriced, but it does appear to function as the main spa for all the resorts near Tigh-Na-Mara as well. Despite there being a wedding there the first night of our stay, there were no noise complaints whatsoever. I forgot my nail polish remover, the front des..."k sent me to the hotel's salon/spa to pick up some. They didn't actually have any for me to purchase, so the attendant helped me remove my nail polish. I thought it would have been nice for her to offer me a seat to have this done, but she just removed my polish while I stood the whole time. The hotel is very new, modern and clean. Our walk along the beach is beautiful. During our two night stay we used the valet a total of 6 times. There was never anyone there to greet us/open the door when we arrived back at the hotel.
