  "On arriving and parking in the (larger) car park my first comment to my wife was "It's a bit tatty on the outside, I hope it's better on the inside. Don't Panic - it is. Nice helpful lady on Reception made checking in very easy and offered help with our bags. Had a double room downstairs (through th..."e restaurant and through the door marked Fire Exit - quite confusing). However, room was fine - not one of the refurbished rooms so a few marks and scrapes on the walls etc but you can't expect them to decorate every month! (and we had a voucher so room was much less than the normal rate I believe). Actually room was fairly large - larger than i have paid far more money for - and the 2 things I consider most important, the BED and the SHOWER, were very good. BED was fairly firm and slept well both nights SHOWER was very hot and very powerful - one of the best i've had in any hotel room.   "Stayed here from the 21st-24th May. Always managed to get a parking space. Fantastic location. Beach really is at the end of the road with breath taking views. Town is a short walk in all directions. Managed to even find shortcuts to cut out the majority of the steep hills! (BONUS!) Television wit..."h freeview and dvd player which came in handy. Ipod docking station next to the bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was never cold. Plenty of adequate plug sockets and fresh towels. Lovely furnishings that made the room feel homely. Nicely tiled shower room. House keeping cleaned the room every day. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again when next in Bournemouth. All I would say is, if you have pushchairs or a wheelchair then be prepared for the hills as they can be very steep and the pavements are narrow. " More >
