  "A superior travelodge, NOT the normal shabby decor of most travelodges. It is basic but clean and looks new with a very comfortable bed and lots of nice big fluffy pillows. I would be happy to stay several nights. Car parking is free on the street outside the hotel door from 6pm to 8am. Charges ..."apply at a meter between 8am and 6pm, 70p per hour, you can top up the parking on your moblie, if you make a note of the details on the meter. We parked on the street right out side the hotel door for 2 days as it looked safer than in the car parks. There are a lot of traffic wardens! We walked to the Bull ring in 10 minutes. The Queens arms next door is a reasonally priced decent pub for a pint and a cheaper meal. The "itiahaas" is a really nice indian curry restaurant for a nice meal, just over the otherside of the canal on Newhall street./flleet street. Not too pricey. Birmingham is a top cycling destination and we were allowed to keep the bikes in our room. I would keep an extra eye ... " More >
