  "We chose this hotel for its immediate proximity to PRONI (known to any genealogist). We found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The dinner we had there was pleasant. The hotel provides a minimal 30min free WiFi but that was sufficient for us at that time. Parking at the hotel ..."is limited and not cheap. Parking adjacent to the hotel is pricey even though subsidized by the hotel. The best thing was that the neighborhood is quiet and the room was nearly soundproof. We've never heard less hall noise in any hotel, anywhere, and we heard nothing from other rooms even though the hotel was very busy. We enjoyed our stay. " More >

The hotel staff was helpful, and a hop on/hop off bus company picked us up and dropped us off right at the door. We only had one night there and had to get to Dublin the next night, but we were so glad we took that tour--which covered the city and also highlighted the tragic history of the area during the Troubles. The hotel is just a block off the Main Street going through the area, where there were lots of places to eat and Irish pubs to visit. We ate at Robinsons pub, which was very close.   "i do not know how i missed reviewing this place earlier. in a excellant location, quite, but just a stroll to the restaurants,cafes etc. large rooms with great beds that ensure a peaceful nights sleep,terrific showers. breakfast was first rate with plenty of choice and great service from the staf..."f. very friendly and knowledgable reception staff that go out of their way to assist you, especially Ricky who helped us with our email issues. He is a great representative for Tara Lodge and Northern Ireland as a whole, with a vast array of knowledge and a good sense of humour that made our stay all the better.
