  "Recently returned from a 6 night stay at the Riviera. Having researched a number of hotels we were struck by the price and location - in fact the taxi driver from the airport commented (without prompting) that it was a good choice of hotel. Speaking from our own experience we found everything clea..."n and comfortable and the staff without exception were all extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. As mentioned in previous reviews the breakfast included juice, cereals, fruit, bacon, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, sausages, cheeses, ham and various sweet pastries, two coffee machines, a filter coffee machine and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The safe needs a key, free from reception, and there was a small fridge in the room. Shower was good and robes and slippers provided. It was approximately a ten minute walk to the old town and roughly the same to the railway station (trains generally running every 30 mins or so in both directions - 13.20 euros return to Cannes, 9.20 to ... Location is very convenient to all attractions, e.g. Place Messena, Promenade des Anglais, etc. yes, bathroom is small and simple toiletries are provided. Staff are very personable, speak English and French and are very accommodating. After travelling all night from North America, we appreciated being able to get into our room at noon instead of 2:00p.m. Reason I gave rating as four instead of five stars is that the dinner in the restaurant was just average quality food. We had a delicious breakfast every morning that is highly recommended with bread, cheese and fresh fruit from the garden, we couldn't wish for better hosts.
