  "Great little hostal, don't be put off by the name as it is more of a hotel than hostal, individual rooms, all en suite with flat digital screen TV's, coffee facilities and comfortable beds. Cleanliness is exemplary and the reception service beyond reproach. Be aware that the area is not really "t..."ouristy" and as such most people, although very friendly, don't speak any English, however the lady that runs the place - Erica - speaks excellent English and is able to help out in a crisis. Parking is in a nearby underground car park with a reduced daily rate of €10, there is space to stop and deal with luggage outside the front door, although it can be busy at peak times we never had a problem. The Hostal is located in the business district of the city amongst banks and offices, only a short walk to the beach or the port area or even to the more social areas where good lively bars and restaurants can be found, again with the accent on the local specialities, no burger and chips to be ...   "We stayed here for one night during a recent trip around Galicia. It's an easy 15 walk from the train station, so we found it easily enough and it was handy for where we wanted to be. I wouldn't agree with some reviewers who have said it's in the middle of nowhere - it's near the train and bus s..."tations, a 15 minute walk from the main streets and there's plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. You can easily catch a bus out to the Torre de Hercules (number 5 from near the Plaza de Catro Caminos, I think the stop was at Cuesta de la Palloza). Anyway, the staff were very friendly on arrival and were very helpful to us. There was a special offer on breakfast when we were there, so we decided to buy it, although there are plenty of options outside the hotel. The room was perfectly fine, reasonably big, although there are rather too many mirrors around for my liking.
