Several tiny Taverns are along the sea promenade and a variety of cafe bars and shops , all in all , everything needed for a short break. The hotel itself is so spacious , extremely large balconies amazingly large rooms , huge beds and the bathroom and kitchen speak for themselves.   "Philoxenia hotel is a very nice, new hotel with a small pool. We had a very big room with kitchen at the 4th floor with a big terrasse with an amazing view over the landscape with mountains in the background. We could also see the sea, it was really beautiful. The beds very good, all very clean. The..." aircondition made a lot of noise at night, but we had to have it on as the temperature was extremely high in that period. The bathroom is very small though, but ok. Breakfast was good, but to our taste too much cakes. Hotel just a few minutes from the beach and all the tavernas. Gregoris, the manager was extremely nice and kind and helpful, he did everything to make us feel good. In fact all the staff were so kind. We were probably the only foreigners there as most guests and people in Lefkanti are greeks, but we had greek friends living there. If you dont rent a car there are buses to bring you to different towns as forinstance Halkida. We shall indeed return. " More >

  "I honestly believe my 1-day stay at the Philoxenia can be rated among my top10 B&B stays in Greece. Where should I start? 1) Extremely polite and helpful staff. Dressed impeccably, behaved like proper professionals. 2) Absolutely no fuss when it came to our reservation having to be changed. ..."3) Huge rooms, and I mean huge. Very clean and modern. Amazing (and very big) balcony too. 4) Room facilities such as a cooker, kitchen utensils, big refrigerator. 5) Excellent breakfast, (bacon, sausages, tomatoes and eggs, cereal, juices, jams, honey, cheeses, cold cuts). All this for the bargain price of €40. Excellent value for money. 11km from Halkida's town center (at the old Bridge), which is not that bad (10 minute drive) We'll visit again. " More >
