When we visited during the school holidays the area was very quiet but situated near a University complex so may be different when students are back. Hotel room had excellent views over the golf course. Clean, crisp bedlinen and plenty of towels...." Large sofa bed with separate fold out beds for the children. Comfortable king size double bed. We had the fixed price menu in the on-site restaurant which was excellent value, the freshly cooked omelettes are superb. Although the layout of the roads with a central bus lane was a little confusing it took only 10 minutes to get to Versailles by car. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only one disappointment when we arrived after a very long and hot journey the outdoor pool which looked so inviting was closed because of problems with the water. " More >

  "The summer seaons comes along with its lot of obligations such as weddings. On that specific occasion I had travelled to a city in the south-west of Paris, called Saint Quentin en Yvelines. I arrived by train and was positively suprised that my hotel (that bride and groom had booked for me) was loc..."ated 10 minutes from the train station. The staff at the check-in was really helpful and welcoming. I had a single bedroom with a nice view over a nearby pond and the room was very tidy. Since the whole wedding party had checked into that specific hotel I was expecting some noise later in the evening but I was agreeably suprised by the almost sound-proof room. The breakfast buffet next morning had a large choice of quality ingredients and I must say that if ever I had to accomodate again near Paris, that Campanile would certainly be the place if would chose.   "I was a little sceptical about this hotel when I arrived as it formed part of a cheap week-end package tour to Paris. However, I found this hotel extremely efficient, and I could not believe the breakfast offered for the money that I paid. A hot meal as well as the vast continental choice was availa..."ble, and we received lots of steaming hot coffee. The waitress was particularly good. The room was very comfortable,and the bathroom extremely modern. The old lift took a bit of getting used to but apart from that everything was very good. The man on reception was very helpful when explaining how to get back from Paris by public transport, and his english was impecable. I did find it odd that the bar was shut in the evenings without explanation, as I would have expected this to be a bit of a money spinner for the hotel, but this did not detract from the very enjoyable stay.
