Our friends stayed in a lovely room overlooking the river and we had a room at the back so no view but a bit bigger with tea making facilities. It is a good 20/25 mins walk into the centre but we enjoyed the walk along the riverside. Tram number 20 stops on the main road 2 streets back behind the hotel & is about 5/10 mins walk, this tram joins up with bus number 119 to the airport. It takes about an hr to get to the airport so a 90 minute ticket covers it. I will definitely stay here again. " More >

  "We have just returned from staying here for 3 nights and what a lovely stay we had. Rooms were huge that we had (205 and 206) on the non smoking floor. Very clean and lots of room. We had looked a trip advisor before we went and got some..." tips of rooms to stay in as you are on a main road opposite the Funicular Tram and the Petrin Tower. You do not want the rooms with slanted ceilings unless you are quite short, go for rooms at the side or back of the hotel as they are quieter. They have non smoking rooms also. The trams go past quite frequently until late at night but to be fair you don't really hear them from the side rooms. your view is of roof tops but we were very happy with this to not be kept awake by the trams. On arrival we were greeted very warmly and offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony on the 6th floor. We were given a city map and tourist guide. A small fridge and a well stocked tea/coffee tray were available together with a good sized flat screen satellite tv. The large bed had individual duvets for each person - very good idea! The view from the balcony was over the rooftops to the National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square. The hotel is very conveniently located only 3 minutes walk from the Square but does not suffer from very much street noise. Breakfast was included and was well presented with a large selection of both British and Continental items to suit most tastes, indeed we lingered over breakfast for about an hour each morning!
