We visited Interlaken last year and didn't think it cou..."ld get any better than that but I think Lauterbrunnen topped it. Small town but plenty of restaurants and things to do. Easy walk to the train station to get to other areas of Switzerland and the train attendants were very helpful. We took the gondola up to the mountain train to visit the mountain village of Murren and had a wonderful day. Staubbach's rooms are simple but comfortable and the balcony rooms have fantastic views!
