The beech is lovely with gently sloping sand beech and the water is great. The rifle shooting, archery and volley ball are down there so you can take a break and have a go. Its also a great way to meet other people and get to know the staff. Now the staff, i can't fault them. They are pleasent friendly and considering what a struggle life is out there, they hold no resentment. I would like to make a special mention to the beech lifeguard william. We must thank our travel agent for talking us out of booking with the RIU hotel in the same area. Some people we meet on the flight down stayed there and were not happy on the way home. We were lo..."oking for a pool that had a long river feeling and this pool is it, not your average shaped pool. with the ilands in the center and little coves all over, it is a great place to wounder around and the little areas for the babies are great. We will be back next year with our whole family and our first Grandchild. We were already at the resort when we saw Mrs. Pollen,s Wedding party arrive. I agree with her review. We are so glad they had great service for thier special day. The staff seems to treat everyone with a big smile and a good handshake. Be prepared and take your own (paper......not seat!) Count any money you exchange at the hotel bank Watch for crabs i..."f you are bare foot in the bar There is nothing to do outside the hotel for miles The shop can e overpriced. E.g non branded sun cream was 21 CUC (about £14) But; It was fantastic. Cuban people are really nice. Lots of history to the country. The old part of the hotel had shabby rooms, sockets hanging off, curtain rails drooping, dirty grout, broken safes' etc. the new build are really smart. The waiters are amazing, tip them and they will ever forget you. Look out for the waiter Adan, really knows his stuff. You can save money on the trips with your own private taxi driver.
