  "We were visiting the White Sands Missile Range and White Sands National Monument and spent the night at this Fairfield Inn. It was beautifully furnished from the huge fish tank in the lobby to the artwork throughout the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge and extremely comfortable. ..."The front desk staff was very attentive. They have a beautiful pool and Jacuzzi and a hot and cold breakfast in the morning.   "We spent one night at the Alamogordo Super 8 on a trip through New Mexico that included stops at two other Super 8 motels. The other two motels were what we have come to expect from Super 8 motels, reasonable price, nothing fancy, somewhat shopworn. The Alamogordo Super 8, however, far exceeded exp..."ectations on four counts. 1. The hotel has just been newly renovated and it felt like a brand new hotel. Not only were the lobby and rooms clean, but the paint was fresh throughout and the drapes, carpet, room furnishings all felt like new. And the decor was not only clean, but inviting, not something I would usually say about a Super 8. The fresh feel included the air--the other two Super 8s had a musty hotel smell, but not here. 2. The in room appliances were either new or near new and all worked great. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, fridge, clock radio, hair dryer and iron (including full size ironing board).
