As with many hotels in provincial Indonesia, the service is not quite what one would expect at a hotel in a developed country. Both check-in and check-out are painfully slow for a hotel that aspires to be a 4 star...." In addition, for some reason, there are lights in the guest rooms that cannot be turned out. This is why I marked so low on quality of sleep. It seems they have something to do with the external lighting, but why they would be inside the guest rooms seems to be a significant desing flaw with the building. I finally had to call maintennance and they unscrewed the light bulbs. Finally, I booked on-line for premier room and requested a smoking room. It turns out that none of the premium rooms allow smoking. Noting this on their website would've been nice. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and tried their best.
