The location is perfect with just a few minutes stroll to the 'old' World Heritage listed town.No cars or motorbikes allowed just walking or push bikes which are extremely popular. The Hoi An also has a sister hotel at Cua Dai beach and run a regular shuttle service between the two properties which is another bonus for guests.   "Nice Hotel and staff, we stayed in a riverside villa because we heard that the beachview villas actually didn't have a view over the beach or the sea since the view were obscured by some bushes and the road. We were right to stay at the riverside villa, and they are also cheaper. Gorgeous, calm view..." over the river but close to everything you need. One minus was the pricing of the food and other things at the resort. don't get me wrong, I KNOW that resort prices are always higher than outside the gates, but the prices here of the food was a bit overpriced in our opinion. And the food was not that good actually. But the good thing is, just outside the gates to the left there is a street with some restaurants and shops. The food here was excellent! We loved it and came back almost everyday to eat, and the price was really low. So don't eat at the resort, ridicolous pricing.   "Stayed here as part of a general tour of Vietnam - 3 nights. Arrived from Hue by car; staff were waiting & check in was very swift & easy. It had only been the Anantara a week so that was a little disconcerting. We were allocated a Superior Garden View room (so thats 1st floor looking in over the..." garden, not far from the pool). Room was very clean & tidy, excellent bathroom & bed very comfy; as others have said a little odd with the split-level thing, but very nice nonetheless. Breakfast here is great - you're on a terrace overlooking the river; food choice is more than adequate - coffee is good (always a plus!); the usual choice of Western bits & more local stuff, plus a chef to cook things for you. Can't comment on the evening meals as we didn't have one here, but normally had lunches in; the cafe area was particularly good for lunch, especially as the air-con was always on & it was hitting +37degC whilst we were there !
