  "We spent a night here in the summer of 2011 and had a wonderful experience. The lodge is very cozy and unique and has a nice view of the woods. It was a little difficult to find, but once we were there we felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was HUGE. The balcony is ..."shared, but no one was on it all evening. There is even a little hiking trail in the woods to explore. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We usually don't stay at bed and breakfast because most of the places we've looked in to have a tacky "doll house" feel to them. This is not the case for Bent Creek.   "I don't know if we will ever stay in a hotel again. Our experience at Bent Creek Lodge was absolutely fantastic. Jim and Susan were perfect hosts along with being outstanding chefs. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious.. Set way back from the highway you almost think you made a wrong turn ex..."cept for the signs pointing you in the right direction to the Lodge. Jim greeted us just as we got out of our car and treated us as if we were guests in his own private home. He pointed out all the amenities available to us and made sure we were comfortable with our accommodations. Susan was behind the kitchen counter serving up fresh baked peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies, just like I remember grandma baking. As soon as we entered or room "the barn room' I caught the aroma of fresh cut wood which I loved. Morning coffee on the porch watching all the birds feeding nearby was fantastic. You are in the middle of God's country with beautiful trails to walk, flowers to admire, and the sounds of beautiful native birds chirping out lovely songs to listen to. Minutes away however,you ar..."e in Asheville where you can view all the wonderful sights and eat in all the fabulous restaurants that make that town so special.. After a long day touring it was always great to come back to the lodge and sit in front of the fire enjoying a glass of wine and talking to some of the other guests. Our interim innkeepers, Susan and Jim were amazing! Not only did they provide gourmet breakfasts but they always made us feel at home. They gave us advise and answered all our questions which made us feel so comfortable. We also loved the proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
