It proved to be an excellent decision, as Indiana has everything one can ask for! Sarah, who owns/runs the hostel, truly lives up to all the hype that the other reviewers atte..."st to by going beyond what one could ever hope for in the rustic north of Thailand. Her humorous and kind personality creates a family atmosphere among guests. She cooked meals free of charge each day for us to give us a proper northern Thai cuisine experience. We all went for drinks one evening and had a night to remember! The location is perfect too - a 2 minute walk from the bus station on the main road, but located on the other side of the river, which kept things quiet at night. The room was also way above expectations and was quite comfortable. Altogether, it was an incredible stay that I wish I had been able to extend. " More >

The only two downsides: 1. there will likely be some bugs in the bathroom and potentially the room, but that is par for the course in a bamboo hut, 2. mattresses are pretty hard (also par for the..." course). The location is awesome - much quieter on this side of the river and out of the bustle of Pai town. It felt nice to walk across the bamboo bridge after dinner and retreat to our place.
