  "I am a native of Mobile, Al and have been to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach many times. The 1 terrible review that said the ocean wasn't clear, its the Gulf of Mexico, not the Caribbean. You aren't going to get crystal clear waters unless you go farther into Florida. This is typical for the northern GOMEX, until you get into Florida. Ok, on to the hotel. The hotel from the outside is something to see. It was neat to finally get to stay here after watching it being built. Check in was quick and easy, and we were told we could get in 3 hours early, but we still had to wait 30 minutes due to it was still being cleaned. This particular condo complex has a heated indoor pool with hot tubs, gated kiddie pool, large outdoor pool, tennis courts, indoor racquetball court & weight room so if it rains there is still lots for the kids to do. The 2 bedroom condo unit itself (#510) was tastefully decorated,had comfortable new mattresses, a well well stocked kitchen, a very large flat screened TV for the husband, and a really nice sized balcony with a table and chairs.
