We were there after the harvest, and the farmhouse itself was an oasis of green among the golden brown of the fields. The main reason for coming is just to chill, relax and enjoy the good food. The food has a homely feel, and is delicious. Full of surprises, and fussy vegetarians like me were catered for without any problem (but probably best to warn the farm of dietary requirements before hand). The honesty bar is well stocked. The pool is small, more for chilling than for swimming. The garden has a perfect balance of sunlight and shade.   "We stayed for two nights in luxury chalet 1. The room was absolutely beautiful and spacious. The food was quite good and the rangers were very knowledgable and passionate about conservation. We had a cheetah internaction with Velvet, and learned about her heart wrenching story and how she was rescue..."d along with several of her siblings. Also, we interacted quite a bit with two baby rhinos, which were recently sent to Inverdoorn from the Eastern Cape after their mother had been killed/poached for her horn. Please note, this is more of a rescue/conservation facility than a "safari" experience. This is a good option if you are very pressed for time, which we were and you would like to see a lot of animals and as many of the big 5 as possible. Many of the animals have a "story" - the cheetahs are being rehabilitated and kept in their own enclosure, the lions were rescued from a "canned" hunting facility and kept in a seperate enclosure, and while the elephants are free roaming on teh res...
