There really was much more of a concierge feel to the front desk than that of a check-in/check-out desk. I had, and then we started discussing what could he do to improve upon it. He liked my suggestion, and when I said that I was checking out in the morning so I couldn't try it the next night for dinner, he asked me to wait while he made a portion incorporating my suggestion.
