  "We arrived at the Melia on 18th May and was greeted by Ken on reception. We had a speedy check in and went to our room. It was my friends first visit to Orlando and we were both thrilled with the accomodation and hotel. I upgraded us to a 2 bed 2 bath accomodation and it was absolutely brilliant! H..."uge apartment, big kitchen with huge fridge freezer which wes great for freezing bottles of water to take to the parks with us each day.Big bathrooms, big beds, the rooms were very clean and the up keep from the maid each day was top class. We relied on the shuttle to the parks and they worked very well for us, we got to breakfast each day for 7am so we could get the shuttle at 8.15am to the parks and got the late shuttle back to the hotel. breakfast was great and had everything we would want, cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, muffins pastries etc, the staff were very pleasand and helpfull. Be forewarned, it is expensive if you dine out for meals and drink at the bar . I deducted a star because they charge for the tubes for kids ..."to float on the lazy river. Not as good as Disney's Blizzard Beach, but you dont need to go there if you stay here. " More >

The hotel itself has quite a unique design style and a picturesque finish, both internally and externally; the pool area specifically, as a point of note, is an extremely attractive, but also functional area where we spent on average an hour a day just unwinding - either after or in-between whatever we had planned. The breakfast buffet was adequate for what we needed and while we were never really going to eat breakfast at the hotel every day, on the occasion that we just fancied something light with a coffee, then it was fine.
