  "I have been to this property before and it was nice. But they just had thier grand opening for the new pool. It was very well done. They made it so that you can enjoy the pool area during the day with waiters that come to you and take orders for food and drink (expensive). Even if you get there ..."late and the chairs near the pool are taken, they have terraced one area several times so that the chairs in the back still have a good view of the pool - so you can still keep an eye on the kids. We opted to rent a condo in the resort, not a room in the hotel. This was good for space and convenient for the family. But our particular condo was not in great shape. All of the food we ate on the plantation (various restaurants) was great. We did have a problem with the service at the pool area - the waiters were young and not well organized. But to their defense, we were located about as far from the kitchen as we could be and still be at the pool. " More >

  "I debated whether to give a three or a four to the property, thinking maybe a 3.5 might be where it is at. I also debated as there is another whole criteria for judgement when paying close to $300 per night. In the end, I decided to go with the four as we could see how far it had come from previous ..."visits and more importantly in acknowledging the excellence in guest services we received from all staff. Omni spends milllions and millions of dollars on physical improvements but that means nothing if the customer service is not good. Kudos to whoever works with staff on this...we encountered exceptional people daily and wish I had remembered a few names to single out. The sub-contracters were even friendly on my early morning walks. We were there over a very busy spring so think we can objectively look at the resort and analyze the hits and misses at present.
