  "After driving for 5 hours we need a place for the night and I stumble on this place. I have seen from the other reviews that they said they need to do some up grades to the rooms. And they do. Our room was OK and I have nothing to complain about. BUT other then that, this was an outstanding stay ..."for 2 days. (we where only going to stay for one night but enjoyed the location so much we stayed for another night) David at the front desk could not have been any nicer full of information. The maintenance person who I also met was a real nice person who would do anything for you to make your stay there pleasant. Location was great. We need a few days to just chill out and this is the best reason why we stayed there. The back yard is only 50 feet from the white sandy beach's and the garden at the hotel was great just hanging out read my book and watch all the birds fly in and out of their bird houses.   "We just returned from a weekend trip to Mexico Beach, FL and we had the pleasure of staying at the Gulf View Motel on Hwy 98. We arrived at dusk on Friday evening and the owner's son greeted us. It was exactly as we had expected..as I had done research on the motel last year. It had a full size frid..."ge, a small oven and stove, everything one would need for a chillaxing weekend in Mexico Beach. I can't forget to mention the two wonderfully comfortable recliners that they had in the living room area as well. We were in room #1, facing the Gulf of Mexico and it was perfect. Saturday evening we met some really great people who were staying there as well... Our room was just within very close proximity to the Beach. You can't beat the value for the accommodations that we were given. It's a very comfortable inviting place to hang out while visiting Mexico Beach!
